The Creekside Animal Hospital Staff

Meet the doctor:

Dr. Coral Turman graduated with honors from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She acquired extensive surgical experience through work with the Durham Animal Protection Society in North Carolina while she was in school.   She also did extensive research into kidney diseases in dogs and cats and has been awarded several scholarships for her achievements. Because of her impassioned interest in alleviating pain in pets, she devoted extra time during veterinary school to studying with the pain management specialists at the NC State Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  She also spent four years doing veterinary cancer research prior to entering Veterinary School.  Recently, Dr. Turman has undergone advanced veterinary acupuncture training through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.  While she plans to continue to offer traditional medical care for her patients, Dr. Turman wanted to be able to offer more health care options to clients for their canine athletes and for geriatric pets.  She also volunteers her veterinary services to the SAFE Animal Shelter regularly and works with several rescue groups in the area.   In her (minimal) spare time, Dr. Turman enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, tennis and doing agility/obedience competition with her dogs.

Meet our wonderful staff members and some of their critters....
